"Genius: Acquired OR Inherent?" ➤ Positive Reflections on 3 May 2023 (Daily Thought Reflections by Awakening with Brahma Kumaris) ⇦ Reflections 2023-05-03 What Makes A Genius: Acquired Or Inherent Talent? ⇦ ⇨ Every now and then we come across creative or scholarly abilities in certain children whom we acknowledge as child prodigies. They are geniuses at one skill or another. A 4-year old child skillfully plays long notes on the 𝗽𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗼, a 7-year old writes complex software 𝗰𝗼𝗱𝗲 while another recites 𝘀𝗵𝗹𝗼𝗸𝗮𝘀 from the scriptures at age 5. When and from whom did they learn these surprises, especially when nobody in their family is inclined or trained in the same. Likewise, renowned artists, musicians, engineers, and sportsmen often 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐚 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐠𝐞 and most of them do not inherit it from their parents or family. ➥ 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗱𝗼𝗺 teaches us that every action done by an individual upon taking a physical body is registered in the 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗹 as a "sanskaar" or say "impression/habit". Our sanskars are a sum total of our nature, talents and inclinations. These sanskars are then carried birth after birth... and are brought into action in many births. Applying this understanding, the talent in a genius was 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝, 𝐧𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐝 & 𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 in his previous birth. Being registered on the soul, the talent is carried forward. The soul 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐞𝐬 the 𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐞𝐬/𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐤𝐚𝐚𝐫/𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭 in this birth, in some cases in childhood itself. ➥ Briefly speaking, 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐮𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞. We think it is a gift or talent but it is a fruit of deep and long experience over many lifetimes. Some of us are older souls than others because we have been on the world stage for a longer duration and hence covered a journey of more number of births. Such souls carry forward experiences that are far 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 than others. This understanding helps parents to encourage innate talent in children instead of expecting them to be the way they want them to be. Suggested Link ➔ "The 7 Virtues of Soul"

"SOUL: Driver of Body (P2)" ➤ Positive Reflections on 15 Sep 2023 (Daily Thought Reflections by Awakening with Brahma Kumaris) ⇦ Reflections 2023-09-15 SOUL: The Driver of Body (Part 2) ⇦ ⇨ If a good driver, while driving a car is distracted by the negative and disturbing scenes which he comes across and his attention is pulled in many different directions, he will make his journey unsafe increasing the chances of meeting with accidents. When the same principles are applied to the soul and the body, I also need to take care that, while traveling on the road of life, I am not distracted by scenes that are not useful to me e.g. when looking out through my eyes, I don’t have to take in all the images, scenes and information along the way, otherwise I may meet with an accident. ➤When listening through my ears, I don’t have to take in all the words and everything that people say, otherwise I may meet with an accident. I can choose to take in what is useful for me, but I do not have to register distracting, negative and harmful images, words and behaviours. Just like a driver, I see and understand situations and I keep my eyes and ears open. It would be unsafe to ignore them completely, I need to be aware of them. But I look only for the positive in them, so that I remain focused and am not deflected from my experience of inner contentment and bliss, while making the journey. ➤I, the soul, as the driver in charge of this vehicle, the body, also need to take care that I do not drive rashly i.e. I learn to monitor the feelings and attitudes that are transmitted outwards through my eyes, my words and my actions. Driving rashly i.e. transmitting negative energy in this way could harm any other traveler on the road of life. ➤When these feelings and attitudes stay positive, filled with sweetness, purity and respect, that too helps to ensure that my journey passes smoothly and enjoyably. When I stay alert and aware in a driver conscious and drive carefully, my actions bring me closer to my spiritual truth and I am able to share my positivity with others around me. When I lose awareness for even a moment, there's danger either from me to others or from others to me. Suggested Link ➔ Video: "Discover the SOUL"
- Human Being, Not Doing (P1) | Brahma Kumaris Messages
Let’s Be Human Beings, Not Human Doings (Part 1) : Daily Thoughts & Awakening Messages for your spiritual upliftment by Brahma Kumaris Sustenance team. ⇦Messages 2025-01-31 SHARE⇗ ⇦ ⇨ Let’s Be Human Beings, Not Human Doings (Part 1) We are all special angels in this world born for a higher purpose. Have you ever wondered that apart from living a life from morning to night, full of actions like dressing up in the morning, going to work, cooking meals, and going off to sleep at the end of the day, we also have a higher purpose in this lifetime? Take for e.g. a machine in your home like an air conditioner. It runs when we put it on and shuts down when we instruct it to. When it is not running, it remains idle without ever thinking that it could do something else. Does it have a higher purpose? No. Then one day comes when we discard it forever and it is abandoned. ➤We all are human beings first and not human doings only. Human doings work from morning to night, performing different actions, without a higher purpose. Human beings have a higher purpose – to look after the being while performing actions necessary to life. So, let us not be like a machine today. When we step into our workplace or when we look after our home and family and interact with our friends, let us think and be aware that one day we will leave this body and take with us nothing. No financial success, professional achievement, beautiful relationship, and looks and outer personality will go with you when you are no longer in this physical costume or body. ➤So, pause for a minute at this moment and look inwards. I love my son or daughter or husband or wife but one day they will no longer be with me when I leave this physical costume. For me, the purpose of my life may be looking after them. But my higher purpose is looking after my inner self, my sanskaras, my inner being, which I will carry with me. ➤So take an affirmation every morning – I choose to beautify my inner self in the complete day and give happiness to everyone I meet. I choose to be good at work but also work on my actions, which makes me receive blessings from everyone. Also, I choose to be a mirror of goodness for everyone, in which people will see positivity and be inspired to become better human beings. Why? Because you are special, a special human being, and not an ordinary human doing! (Continues tomorrow...) Suggested ➔ Course: WHO AM I? Quote of the day "The virtues of honesty and courage bring success" Thought : A courageous person is not deterred by challenges, but moves towards success. When courage is combined with the virtue of honesty, one is able to make consistent, honest, and genuine efforts. Therefore, success comes through systematic efforts and humility is evident in such a person. Experience : I can never be arrogant when I am courageous and honest in my efforts for my success. I am able to get everyone's cooperation and goodwill, especially the protection and help of God. Everything I do leads me towards success. Previous Next day

Watch this film with your family, or SHARE to your family and connections. ✤ Story ✤ The play opens as Sudhir, a non-believer scientific minded (atheist) person wakes up in one morning to know that his mother is inviting him to participate in a Puja (prayer). He comes and argues with his mother about existence of God. Mother, being a strong Hindu, rejects his questions. One day, he visits a relative's house where he finds a person, who suggested him to join a conversation on a TV program as a debate on ''Whether God is omnipresent''. He does accept and attends the program. Sudhir presents logical points and questions the existence of God. Seeing his son debating against God like this, his mother stops talking to him and decided to go to Pilgrimage (Ilhabad). Sudhir also joins her. On their way, they stopped, and Sudhir finds a Brahma Kumaris centre where he had wonderful experiences as he witnessed the peaceful and pure environment. He finds a sister at the centre, with whom he shared he ideas on mythology and God. Sister shared the spiritual Godly knowledge (gyan) after which, Sudhir felt in deep thinking. The scene ends. Next day Sudhir finds out that her mother is lost in the Mela held at the pilgrimage. He tried his best to find his mother, but couldn't. After a while of un-restful turmoils, he re-visits that same RajYog centre, where he accidently attends a random class where the same sister was speaking. She explained the knowledge of Karma. Listening to this, Sudhir again felt an inner pull. At the centre, he received a Book of '7 days course', which he read. After getting the knowledge of Soul, the Supreme soul and eternal world drama, Sudhir realised the spiritual path. He leared 'Raja Yoga meditation' (RajYog) after which he understood the nature of Law of Karma and relates that to what happened in his life. The sister-in-charge of that centre guides him fully. RajYog (meditation with Supreme soul) brought a great change in his personality and emerged divine virtues of peace, patience and selfless love. Seeing this, his wife wonders. His life is completely transformed. The play shows how this wonder happens. In some days, his mother arrives back home and told the story that happened to her (lost and found by a local person, who helped her). Sudhir took his mother and wife to BK centre and introduce them to the Gyan and Shiv baba (God). They as well took the '7 days course' and received the introduction of our spiritual father, the supreme soul (Shiv Baba). The play ends. This is a relatable story to anyone new who comes in Gyan (in contact with BKGSU). Most recommened short film for new comers. "Satya Ki Khoj" is a short Film by Smile Creations. - Giver In Relationships | Brahma Kumaris Messages
Be The Giver In Your Relationships : Daily Thoughts & Awakening Messages for your spiritual upliftment by Brahma Kumaris Sustenance team. ⇦Messages 2024-11-02 SHARE⇗ ⇦ ⇨ Be The Giver In Your Relationships Navigating through our relationships today, let us check if we are the givers of care, attention, and forgiveness. Often we start as givers but gradually shift to the wanting side of things. Relationships are strong when we only give…and give. They become business when we expect a give-and-take. In your important relationships, do you see clear evidence where you have given more goodness than you have taken? Even if it’s one-sided, do you radiate selfless love, respect, and care to the other person? If yes, your qualities are conducive to creating lasting relationships. ➤When we take care of ourselves emotionally and spiritually, we recognize our self-worth and discover an unending supply of inner treasures of happiness, peace, and love. We will need nothing from others. We will have so much to give in terms of energy that we naturally radiate it to people. Relationships are about giving and not so much about receiving. We give the right energies not because we need it, but because giving feels good and giving is our nature. And when we radiate goodness, we are the first ones to receive our energy. We are emotionally powerful, self-sufficient, and independent. ➤Remember that you are a loveful soul and the creator of your relationships. Caring for family, friends, colleagues, neighbors, and society is your nature. Relationships are important for you, their happiness matters to you. Choose to be the giver in every relationship. Give love and acceptance and unconditionally be there for them. ➤As you give and receive them you will become full of these qualities. So you don’t need them from anyone else. Do not need people to be your way, they can be your way. Do not think, hear or speak about weaknesses. Thank everyone who loves and supports you. Thank everyone who has not been right to you for giving you the opportunity to increase your patience, adjustment, and tolerance. You need nothing. You only give in your relationships. Suggested ➔ Visit our "Audio Library" Quote of the day "The trust we place in others earns their cooperation" Points to think about : When we trust others, it also means strengthening their trust in them. This naturally boosts their confidence and builds enthusiasm. Then they are better able to respond to honest feelings and use their full potential. Procedure : When I notice that someone I work with is not cooperating with me, it is necessary to test my trust in that person. When I can appreciate their unique qualities, my trust in that person grows. As my confidence grows, so does their attitude towards me. Gradually, we get closer and it becomes easier to work together. Previous Next day
- Connecting To God (P2) | Brahma Kumaris Messages
Connecting to God in Meditation (Part 2) : Daily Thoughts & Awakening Messages for your spiritual upliftment by Brahma Kumaris Sustenance team. ⇦Messages 2025-03-23 SHARE⇗ ⇦ ⇨ Connecting to God in Meditation (Part 2) Meditation is the creation of positivity in the mind in such a way that the mind starts getting oriented in a positive direction above the routine thinking of day-to-day life. It does not make the mind blank or completely free of thoughts. In fact, it makes the mind full of positive thoughts and intellect full of positive visual images of the spiritual self or the soul and the Supreme Soul. We all know our physical self, who we are, what our name is, what work we do, where we stay, what our nationality is, and how we look. But this is our physical identity and it is different from our spiritual identity. ➤The spiritual identity is simple – I am a non-physical being of spiritual energy, which is not made up of the five physical elements of nature. Also, I have seven original virtues – peace, joy, love, bliss, purity, power, and wisdom, which is my original nature. I have come into this physical world from the soul world, also called paramdham shantidham or nirvana, to play my part through the physical body. Also, my Father, the Supreme Father and the Father of all souls an Ocean of all these seven virtues, who stays in the soul world. ➤This is my spiritual introduction, and so is the introduction of all the human souls of the world. Now, to link or connect with God, the Ocean of seven virtues, I have to remember my spiritual form as a sparkling star-like energy and emerge my original virtues through the power of thought and visualization. This is the first step of meditation. After that, I travel with the eye of my intellect to the soul world and visualize my Supreme Parent or God as a radiant being of pure spiritual light over there and stay connected with Him for a few minutes. I absorb His spiritual energy inside myself, which is the spiritual umbilical cord. This is meditation, a union between the soul and the Supreme Soul. ➤Also, the soul empowers itself in this way with a powerful connection and after that performs its actions in the world, full of all these seven virtues. Those actions will then become pure actions and will inspire others also. This is the magic of meditation. (Continues tomorrow...) Suggested ➔ Course: "Shiv Baba (God)" Quote of the day "When we speak the right words, we gain lightness" Thought : Sometimes, it can be difficult to make others understand our feelings. We talk a lot, but often, we don't really convey what we need to convey to them or they don't understand our point. Then, there is a tendency to talk even more. This can worsen the situation and sometimes hurt the feelings of others. Process : If I try to speak properly, I don't need to talk too much. A few well-chosen words are pleasant to hear and don't hurt others. When my speech is clear and concise to the point, I feel light and free. Previous Next day

Being Patient in Every Scene of Life : Daily Thoughts & Awakening Messages for your spiritual upliftment by Brahma Kumaris Sustenance team. ⇦Messages 2023-01-05 SHARE⇗ ⇦ ⇨ Being Patient in Every Scene of Life Ever since speed and a hurried pace have become characteristics of our life, we have become impatient. Wisdom tells us patience pays off and impatience costs us dearly. But sometimes when we wish to speed up something, when we want quick changes, when there’s a challenge or when we cannot bear uncertainty, we become impatient. We want what we want, and we want it immediately. 1 ● You have the power to be patient, accept and adapt to almost everything around you. Never say - No I cannot wait…I cannot tolerate.... Losing patience in minor scenes makes impatience a part of your personality. Patience gives you the power to handle difficulties and problems because you didn’t deplete spiritual energy creating impatience while the problems were unresolved. 2 ● Patience is your original nature. It’s a sign of royalty, dignity and inner strength. Meditate every morning and fill yourself with peace. Peace is always accompanied by patience. Whether it is children misbehaving, a traffic jam, slow internet, colleagues arriving late or someone missing deadlines – be tolerant and patient. This also brings your thoughts under your control. 3 ● Be patient towards yourself, other people, and even situations. Someone may be slow, someone can make mistakes, but they are all doing their best. Advise or instruct them with respect. Your vibrations of ease radiate comforting energy for them to improve. Also, all different types of negative situations resolve faster when they receive our vibrations of patience constantly. Suggested ➔ Divine Values for Better World Quote of the day "True honesty brings clarity about the self" Expression : Honesty doesn't mean just speaking the truth. Honesty means being clear with oneself. Then it naturally brings clarity about one's own capabilities. This clear understanding enables one to do the best according to the capacity . It gives the recognition of a higher step that can be climbed and brings the humility to learn from the different lessons of life. Experience : When I am honest I am able to know my own limitations and accept them with love. This acceptance keeps me busy with what I can do and also silently makes me ready for the next step . When time comes, I am able to do it, because I have already prepared myself for it. I don't stop when situations demand more from me because there is total clarity within. Previous Next day
