Introduction: This article post introduces you to the FOUR parts of the soul: Heart, Intellect, Mind, Senses... "In the quiet spaces between our thoughts and the unspoken yearnings that guide our choices lies the essence of what it means to be truly alive—the heart of the soul. This deepest core of the soul, and older than memory—pulses with the rhythms of our truest selves, shaping how we love, grieve, dream, and connect.
We all have that inner core—the part of us that feels deeply, hopes fiercely, and sometimes wrestles with doubts or fears. It’s what we might call the “heart of the soul,” the quiet center where our truest self lives. This isn’t about grand philosophies or abstract ideas; it’s about the raw, everyday stuff that shapes how we love, cope, and make sense of life. Whether it’s the joy that lifts us or the pain that weighs us down, understanding this part of ourselves can change how we navigate relationships, challenges, and even the quiet moments in between. Let’s talk about why this “heart” matters and how to listen to it and make better choices.
★ The Heart of Soul ★
You wanted to know "how is heart related to the soul". You do understand that it is only the SOUL who is the ultimate master... Soul, the 𝚙𝚞𝚛𝚎 𝚌𝚘𝚗𝚜𝚌𝚒𝚘𝚞𝚜𝚗𝚎𝚜𝚜, operating and experiencing LIFE using/through the sensory organs (इन्द्रियाँ), the mind (मन), and intellect (बुद्धि)
⭐Imagine: Visualise a point of light (or 'a ball of light')... and the light is radiating out... The further you go from the centre of this light, the lesser its 'intensity' becomes.
🍁Now, what we call HEART, is the closest component of the soul... the deepest part of the soul (the 'essence' THAT YOU ARE) which always knows and is informed through feelings >> "feeling is the language of the soul" and what we call HEART receives and transmits these feelings. It is the heart that "remembers" and "recalls" what the soul always knew and experienced even many lifetimes ago. Heart is the depth from which our intuition (𝚍𝚎𝚎𝚙 𝚒𝚗𝚗𝚎𝚛 𝚔𝚗𝚘𝚠𝚒𝚗𝚐) is born.
Then comes intellect (बुद्धि) 👉 a deeper faculty of the soul through which the soul discriminates (judge what is GOOD and what is BAD, what is RIGHT and what is WRONG) and thus, what to DO and what NOT to do. As you can understand, the intellect is a very important part of human experience, as it separates us from animals and birds... We can THINK and CHOOSE between good and bad, even between good and better.
🪻Then comes the mind (मन) 👉 another part of the soul through which the soul can THINK (create thoughts) >> and you know that thoughts hold creative energy >> hence it is through the faculty of mind that we CREATE our life, our reality.
The furthest faculty is sensory organs (इन्द्रियाँ) 👉 through which the soul 𝚏𝚎𝚎𝚕, 𝚎𝚡𝚙𝚎𝚛𝚒𝚎𝚗𝚌𝚎 & 𝚘𝚙𝚎𝚛𝚊𝚝𝚎 the physical body. This includes the 5 senses (see, hear, touch, smell, taste)
Conclusion
We have explained the 4 faculties of the soul (heart, intellect, mind, senses) and how they relate and function.
☘️Now putting this into a perspective:
➙When you touch someone with your hand (a physical touch), you are touching the soul through its "senses"
➙When you touch (or influence) someone with your thought (intellectually), you are touching their "mind"
➙When you touch someone with deeper feelings & emotions you are touching their "heart"
