Choose Your Actions Correctly (Part 1) : Daily Thoughts & Awakening Messages for your spiritual upliftment by Brahma Kumaris Sustenance team. ⇦Messages 2025-04-21 SHARE⇗ ⇦ ⇨ Choose Your Actions Correctly (Part 1) Life is a beautiful journey with a number of twists and turns, and it brings with it different scenes in which our ability to face them with strength and stability is tested. This is because uncertainties in life are immense, and challenges in life are to be overcome regularly. A negative situation in our present life is a sign of incorrect actions performed in past lives or in this life. ➤Also, good actions performed at the present moment of time will nullify the influence of these negative actions of the past and help reduce the sorrow or discontentment that they might cause. What are good actions, and what are negative actions, and how can we differentiate the two? Let’s look at their meaning in this message. 1● Good actions are those actions that are based on the original qualities of the soul: peace, joy, love, bliss, purity, power, and wisdom. On the other hand, any action that takes us away from these qualities at the level of the personality or sanskaras is a negative action. Let’s say, today my office colleague is angry with me, and I have lost my temper with him. After becoming angry, how do I feel? I feel a lack of peace, love, and joy, and I also know that my action lacks wisdom. In the same manner, today I have been very egoistic and shown false pride while talking and behaving with others. In such a case, I can never feel powerful because the one with false pride will also feel insulted easily if someone talks negatively about him or her. Also, the one with ego is bitter and critical, which is a sign of a lack of love and wisdom. (Continues tomorrow...) Suggested ➔ "All Abundance is Within" Quote of the day "Being committed to self-improvement means being a giver" Thought : Even when we have more, we are always looking for more. We have high expectations of situations and others. And we constantly think about what we can gain from them. Such expectations make us dependent on others for self-improvement. In doing so, we can only experience progress when the circumstances are right or when others cooperate. Process : Instead of thinking about what I want to get, I need to focus more on what I have. This way, I can use these resources, through my best efforts, to get what I want. Doing this allows me to continue to experience progress happily, whether the circumstances I encounter are positive or not. Previous Next day
- Unintentional Hurt | Brahma Kumaris Messages
People Don’t Intentionally Hurt Us : Daily Thoughts & Awakening Messages for your spiritual upliftment by Brahma Kumaris Sustenance team. ⇦Messages 2024-02-24 SHARE⇗ ⇦ ⇨ People Don’t Intentionally Hurt Us People do not intentionally want to hurt us. Their behavior through their nature and habits is what comes naturally to them. At times, people can betray, lie, reject, or ignore us and it can leave us hurt and bitter. But they are not doing it intentionally. They are in pain themselves and are projecting their chaotic inner world onto us. 1 ● When someone is not being right to you, it could have more to do with what they are going through and less about you. However, reflect if you have been right towards them not just in your words and behaviors, but in your thoughts too. 2 ● People might be hurting within due to their unhealed emotional wounds. At some point in their life, they have experienced insecurity, jealousy, fear, or anger. They are internally bruised and are victims of these feelings. 3 ● Someone who harms you is a pure being too but has temporarily drifted from their original qualities of peace and love. Remain stable. Once you see the pain behind their behaviour, accept it as a fact that exists, rather than a problem to tolerate. 4 ● Correcting people means being compassionate. Meditate every morning to shift your tendencies from control, discipline or authority … to being a facilitator, guide, and counselor. Suggested ➔ Overcome Emotional Hurt Quote of the day "Sharing the Treasures of Life" When there is even a little thought to share with others whatever I have, I would naturally be able to perceive my own inner treasures and experience being full. Sharing with others, whatever I can, enables me to get their good wishes also. I thus find myself experiencing the richness of life. Previous Next day

"Road To Success (Part 1)" ➤ Positive Reflections on 9 March 2023 (Daily Thought Reflections by Awakening with Brahma Kumaris) ⇦ Reflections 2023-03-09 8 Steps on the Road to Success (Part 1) ⇦ ⇨ We all live a life which is filled with different actions which we perform from the morning to the night. Every action either in the 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹, 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 sphere is filled with the energy of an intention or a 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐫𝐞 that I have to achieve what I aspire or aim for. But things go wrong when the ambition starts becoming an obsession and it starts affecting our relationships, health and mind sometimes individually and sometimes all together. With some people, the desire to succeed is so immense and so obsessive that it tends to influence their thoughts excessively. They lose interest in performing any action which takes them away from this aim. ➥ They say success for some comes at a price – a broken soul, a stressful mind, an unhealthy body and harmed relationships. For some, life is like a continuous challenge to be overcome. Challenges are good; they bring out the inner powers and help in tapping the hidden potential inside you. But at the same time, a life which eats, sleeps and breathes challenges and goals is the wrong road to success. A main cause of professional burn out at a young age is an obsession to achieve and dream big. This is even causing a lot of people to become severely depressive, unenthusiastic and disinterested after a certain period of time in their careers and family lives. Many people are taking to meditation and relaxation techniques because they lost the balance at sometime in their lives. They left the right road to success with the destination of success remaining away from them instead of coming towards them. ➥ In the next two days’ messages, we shall explain 𝟴 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀 one needs to take on an emotional level so that success is achieved. At the same time it is a success without any of the side effects in the form of love lost in relationships and physical and mental illnesses. Suggested Link ➔ PART 2 of this message
- Quality Morning Time | Brahma Kumaris Messages
Enhance Quality Of Morning Time : Daily Thoughts & Awakening Messages for your spiritual upliftment by Brahma Kumaris Sustenance team. ⇦Messages 2024-12-31 SHARE⇗ ⇦ ⇨ Enhance Quality Of Morning Time The biggest gift we can give ourselves is, developing a powerful morning routine for nourishing our mind and body. It’s the most important time to start fresh, prepare yourself, and set the tone for a rewarding day. How does your typical morning begin? Do you check your emails a few times and then rush through the day? Do you grab the phone upon waking and scroll through social media? Before you know it, you might be late. The mind becomes turbulent and the body is stressed. Our mind handles all our roles and responsibilities. So our first responsibility is to take care of it. ➤We can begin with creating thoughts of the highest frequency – by giving gratitude to God, to our mind and body, to people, to objects we use, and to nature. Nourish the mind with a few minutes of affirmations along with visualizing the entire day being happy. Meditate for a few minutes, and then read enriching messages for the next few minutes. These activities change our inner battery and help us experience happiness and peace throughout the day. Let’s be systematic and have the self-discipline to follow morning habits that set us up for the day. ➤Remind yourself every morning that peace and calmness are your natural sanskars. Each day is beautiful because you begin it with a perfect routine. Set yourself up for happiness and success. Strictly follow your morning habits every single day. Wake up feeling fresh. Your mind and body are well rested. Exercise or walk for 30 minutes, activating every cell of your body. It becomes ready to support all your activities throughout the day. Meditate for 15 minutes to charge yourself, and your mind, by connecting with God, the Supreme Power House. Emerge your inner powers of peace, happiness, and power to be used in every scene. ➤Also plan to work on yourself in the day, changing a sanskar, forgiving someone, forgetting the past, being nice to someone. Choose, decide, and implement. Read uplifting, inspiring messages for 15 minutes to help your mind create pure, perfect thoughts. Do not check social media or email messages, read newspapers or watch news for the first hour. Your morning time is your time, reserved for your nurturing. You will see a huge difference all this makes to your mood, energy, attitude, and efficiency in the day. Suggested ➔ Read "Amritvela Time" Quote of the day "A person who has the ability to 'let go of attachment' is able to experience success" Thought : “Letting go” is generally understood as losing something. When we let go of something, it is seen as giving it up. ‘Letting go’ can be a positive experience. But ‘ letting go’ without understanding can lead to more thoughts and feelings of dissatisfaction. Process : It is important to understand what I have to gain by explaining attachment: I am learning something new from the beginning. When I use this as an opportunity to bring about change in myself, I experience progress. I do not try to control the situation or the other person. But, instead, I learn happily with each step. By ‘letting go’ I am able to take control. Previous Next day
- Spiritual Meaning of Holi (P1) | Brahma Kumaris Messages
Spiritual Meaning Of Holi (Part 1) : Daily Thoughts & Awakening Messages for your spiritual upliftment by Brahma Kumaris Sustenance team. ⇦Messages 2024-03-24 SHARE⇗ ⇦ ⇨ Spiritual Meaning Of Holi (Part 1) A bonfire is created on the eve of Holi with an effigy on top of the pyre representing Holika. This spiritually denotes the evil or negativity present within each of us. Every household provides twigs and pieces of wood to prepare the bonfire. ➤This means each of us should offer our unhealthy sanskars, wrong habits, resentment and hurt that we have held on to, and unfulfilled desires of the past. Holika Dahan or burning of the pyre at night and people dancing around the bonfire, symbolizes that we need to set all our negativities on fire. We can rejoice only after burning them into ashes so that they never come back. It also signifies setting on fire the evils of the old world, to begin a new world of purity and virtues. ➤The simplest way to burn our negative sanskars is Meditation. Meditation is a powerful personal connection with The Supreme Power, the Ocean of Purity and Love. When we remember someone, we are in connection with them, that is called Yog. When we are in powerful remembrance of The Supreme, Yog Agni (the fire of remembrance) burns all impurities. ➤Mythologically, it celebrates the destruction of the demon King Hiranyakashipu and Holika, and the protection of devotee Prahlaad. So, it is a reminder of the power of faith and surrender. When we have constant and deep faith, the Supreme Soul protects us from the flames of pain and suffering. (Continues tomorrow...) - Diet for the Mind (P2) | Brahma Kumaris Messages
A Healthy Emotional Diet For The Mind (Part 2) : Daily Thoughts & Awakening Messages for your spiritual upliftment by Brahma Kumaris Sustenance team. ⇦Messages 2024-01-05 SHARE⇗ ⇦ ⇨ A Healthy Emotional Diet For The Mind (Part 2) In yesterday’s message, we saw how to avoid consuming a negative emotional diet from print, electronic, or social media. We also came up with simple steps for our emotional detoxification. Let us now become aware of another very common and critical source of negative information. It comes from people around us – where we live, our extended family, friends, acquaintances or office colleagues. What they often talk to us is about things we can do nothing about – like problems, issues, Sanskar or behavior of other people. But we listen to this information with attention. Listening to such information means consuming a harmful emotional diet. Whatever we listen to, becomes our perspective not only about a person we are listening to, but it also now becomes a part of our thought process. When someone gives an opinion about a person, it is not necessarily the truth. Such people are only sharing their perspective based on their Sanskar. Don’t we see what happens in relationships or at the workplace – how someone with a Sanskar of criticism, someone with a Sanskar of jealousy, someone with a Sanskar of worry talks about other people? The first layer of the wrong emotional diet fed to us is about the weakness of the person being talked about. The second layer is of the weakness of the person talking to us. We add the third layer of our weakness by listening to it. So, we end up consuming three layers of a fattening emotional diet. It is only a negative baggage we will carry. If we want to be light and happy, we need to protect ourselves from such diet. (continues tomorrow...) However, when someone behaves poorly, we often adjust our attitude and actions in response, waiting for them to change first. This leaves us stuck, with no real growth in ourselves or the other person. Today, I choose to focus on the positive qualities in others, connecting with them on a deeper level. I will not rely on anyone else’s behaviour to determine my own personal growth. Instead, I will embrace the good in each person, allowing it to enrich me with every interaction. Being Free From The Desire For Praise (Part 3) : Daily Thoughts & Awakening Messages for your spiritual upliftment by Brahma Kumaris Sustenance team. ⇦Messages 2024-07-24 SHARE⇗ ⇦ ⇨ Being Free From The Desire For Praise (Part 3) 𝟯 ● We all have different natures or personalities and also our journeys have been different in the story of birth and rebirth. So, at this point in time, we will all receive success in different ways. Someone who has the art of being good at dealing with people with love might not be good at speaking in public. On the other hand, someone who is creative and good at a particular skill might not be so intelligent in studies. So, our skills and strengths are unique. What this means is that we will always see people around us receiving praise for what they are good at. ➤On the other hand, we may receive praise for some other actions, which the other person might not be good at. When this is accepted and understood, then the desire for praise in everything I do, will not be there. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐛𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐨 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐝𝐨. 𝟰 ● Lastly, we are all doing good in different spheres of life because that is what is right. What is good is defined by ourselves, our family, our society, and the world around us. So, we follow that definition given to us. But at the same time, there are people around us who are performing negative actions also. Sometimes, to get praise, we may use negative actions as the medium. But, that praise is short-lived and will not give us deep satisfaction, because it is based on a false foundation. ➤So, it is good to be praised less but follow the path of righteousness and truth. The desire for praise is very deep-rooted but sometimes it takes us on the wrong path. When we realize that praise is not everything in life and doing good and being a good human being is more important, that’s when living life will become lighter and the desire for praise will be secondary and non-existent in our consciousness. Suggested ➔ Read "How to Manifest" Quote of the day "Kind words brings change to others" Points to think about : When we correct others, we often find that our words have little effect. Because we are so caught up in our own expectations, we fail to understand each other. After that, we don't get what we want. And the relationship may become mutually unsatisfying. Procedure : When I add good wishes to the words I speak, love is created. In words spoken with love, there is no selfishness or negativity. And has a powerful effect on others. Only words spoken with love can bring about change in others and in oneself. Previous Next day
