Spiritual Powers For Accepting Change (Part 2)
In yesterday’s example, we explained the case of a businessman who resisted change. Accepting a difficult situation wasn’t easy in his case. He benefited from the teachings of the Brahma Kumaris. He was explained five spiritual powers to inculcate and implement in his life. The five powers helped him reshape his perception of his life into a positive one. As a result, he accepted a difficult situation easily and without being affected negatively in any way. We can also inculcate and implement these five powers in our daily lives –
➤The "first" power was 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐨𝐧𝐞’𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐧𝐞’𝐬 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Rajyoga meditation, as taught by the Brahma Kumaris, is a connection between two minds and intellects – your own mind and intellect and that of the Supreme source of spiritual power – God. He is invisible to the physical eyes but visible to the eye of spiritual wisdom, or what we call the third eye. This connection causes spiritual energy in its purest form to be absorbed from God. It flows into one’s sanskaras and changes the sanskara of thinking negatively and transforms it completely to thinking positively over a period of time.
➤The "second" power was 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐧𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐬, 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐬. Very often, a negative piece of information received from the daily news can make the perception of a negative situation in your life full of confusion and a lack of clarity. This can cause us to become emotionally weakened. So, the businessman was given simple advice – read or listen to the daily news in the afternoon or evening, and not the first thing in the morning. At a later time in the day, the mind is not so fresh, and the absorption capability of the mind is lower than it is during the morning.
➤Negative information read, listened to or seen in the morning has a more negative influence on the sub-conscious mind and, as a result, a more negative influence on the entire day as compared to information later in the day. So, beginning the day with reading or listening to positive spiritual wisdom is the right positive beginning for the day and keeps the mind and intellect clean, clear and positive in the entire day, increasing the power to discriminate between negative and positive information, so that we absorb only positive information always and perceive negative situations positively easily as a result of that.

"To experience truth is to put it into practice in life"

Thought:
When we hear a new useful idea, we naturally want to implement it in our lives. But the motivation to implement it is quickly forgotten. After a while, we remember the idea as a philosophy, but we don't have the enthusiasm to implement it. We don't have the courage to implement it, or we are discouraged by our past experience.
Process:
When I want to bring something new into my life, I have to make room for it in my mind. When I imagine what my life will be like with the change I am about to bring, I start to implement it. Little by little, my courage grows. The truth makes me strong. And, I succeed in reorganizing my life in a way that benefits me.
