Thank you for asking thisโ€”one of the most asked questions on "yog" (meditation)


๐ŸŒฟIf you are connected with "Samadhan" for a long time, you would know how we have touched this topic many times before.


โž•But let us answer this question briefly, using clear reasoning so that everyone reading this can relate and welcome it into their heart.


Please read the below points and sync them together:


1โ— Our mind is a constant ๐œ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ฆ๐š๐œ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ž... We are creating our reality (our ๐š•๐š’๐š๐šŽ-๐šŽ๐šก๐š™๐šŽ๐š›๐š’๐šŽ๐š—๐šŒ๐šŽ) in every moment, using the faculty called "mind"


2โ— When eyes are closed, ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ๐ฉ๐ฌ ๐œ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ. Because it looses access to ๐š—๐šŽ๐š  ๐š๐šŠ๐š๐šŠ (๐š’๐š—๐š๐š˜๐š›๐š–๐šŠ๐š๐š’๐š˜๐š—). The mind needs a constant supply of information in order to keep creating new thoughts.


3โ— The fullest experience of ๐˜๐จ๐  (๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐จ๐ง) with God (the supreme soul) happens when we are experiencing our own reality to its fullest. In other wordsโ€”you can experience God only when you first experience your-self.


๐ŸชปThus, it is very helpful to keep the eyes open, as ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐ข๐ง ๐œ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐š ๐ฏ๐ข๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐˜๐จ๐ , and the 'experience' of Yog (union or connection with God) is thus intensified.


๐ŸŒณYou will notice this is trueโ€”when you sit in meditation. Try to meditate first with eyes "open" and then with eyes "closed". โ„•๐• ๐•ฅ๐•š๐•”๐•– ๐•ฅ๐•™๐•– ๐••๐•š๐•—๐•—๐•–๐•ฃ๐•–๐•Ÿ๐•”๐•–. You will feel much more "๐ข๐ง ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐จ๐ง" and "in the moment" of Yog when your eyes are open. When our eyes are closed, the mind wanders here and there, but when the eyes are open, the mind comes back to the PRESENT moment.
