As we newly find spirituality, we are surrounded by the magnificence and beauty it brings to life. Spirituality immediately becomes the 'centre-point' of life, and everything else revolves around this newly-found inner truth. This is all natural and essential.

But does it mean—to remove yourself completely from the worldly life, family, relationships, and the responsibilities? No. There must be a 'balance' between spiritual path we walk (as a process), and the responsibilities we hold towards family, work & relationships. When this balance is found and maintained, we can progress greatly—become spiritual matured, emotionally stronger, and wiser as a human being. I am going through a divorce and living separately from my wife since 5 months. There were a lot of issues between us more due to differences in the value systems with which we have been raised. She was adamant and always wanted things to happen her way. Eventually I got frustrated and told her that I no longer intend to stay together.

After being separated for 5 months, I got more into spirituality and I’m now thinking whether I should reconsider my decision. Although I’m at peace now, I’m thinking whether going back to her will allow my 'spiritual progress' and take me 'closer to god' by keeping my mind calm and focused as I navigate through my marital life and try to maintain a balance between my wife and family/friends, OR, would that only pull me down (from my spiritual progress) that I have made so far.

I would really appreciate some guidance and light on this.

𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱:

The following is our guidance on finding the right approach for spiritual progress, while staying with family, doing your work & fulfiling your responsibilities.

🌴First of all—let us clear the misunderstanding relating to 'spirituality' and the path we should walk after a "spiritual realisation". Should we try and keep a 'balance' between 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺, 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 & 𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺—or should we renunciate everything?

🪴Spirituality does not require us to leave the work, family, or any particular relationship. Instead, 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 '𝐧𝐞𝐰' 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫-𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 (𝐠𝐨𝐝). Having a strong relationship with god will bring 'magic' into your life.

𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗢𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

As you described your story, we cannot fail to notice the good cause. Notice how your separation from wife caused you to come to spirituality. It was all planned & meant to happen! "Everything make sense when we see the complete picture"

𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀—After being into spirituality, should i consider staying together with my wife (with whom i had conflict), or should i stay apart? Does living together & keeping a 'balance' with family life help us becoming spiritually strong, or does it deviate us from the path?

✶𝗔𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿:

In any way of formation, this question is perhaps the most vital, for anyone who is 𝐚 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐞𝐫, and wants to walk the path but not give up the family-responsibilities.

🍀As mentioned in the beginning, 𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲, 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤, 𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬—𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 '𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞'. For how you give your family love & care, when you lack it within. How can we work effectively, when we are not feeling at best. How can i fulfil my resopnsibilities, when do not know who i am.

🌳Spirituality completes our life. It does not break relationships, but make them 𝚖𝚎𝚊𝚗𝚒𝚗𝚐𝚏𝚞𝚕 and 𝚓𝚘𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚜... 'Spirituality' simply means 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙩 (𝙨𝙤𝙪𝙡). It is asking the question: "How will i manage my life around family, work, self-goal and responsibilities—if I am an eternal consciousness (spirit) who has incarnated for a purpose?"

🌱Finally—coming to the heart of your question—'Will living together help me and my wife progress into spirituality, or will it deviate me from the path?'

✶Answer:

If you are determined to be 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐞—then nothing can cause you to deviate. Instead, your presence will serve as 'a reminder' for your wife's soul. Even she will receive your 𝚙𝚞𝚛𝚎, 𝚑𝚒𝚐𝚑 𝚟𝚒𝚋𝚛𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗𝚜—and even her transformation can begin.

🌻But be aware—this will happen 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞. We should steadily practise being soul-conscious, and 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 of Shiv baba (the Supreme Soul). This exactly is what we call RajYog meditation.

🍁When we stay in such remembrance, 𝐰𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬 & 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 from beloved father, Shiv Baba. We never experience being alone, and constantly guided to the right path. "𝘈𝘭𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘴𝘬𝘦𝘥"... 𝙔𝙤𝙜 is simply—an intellectual & heartly-personal connection with the divine (Shiv Baba, the highest soul)

Definitely try staying with your wife... Give it a try... But if you feel (at any point) that your own spiritual progress is hindered and this relationship is not helping both of you, then choose to part. Give yourself and your wife, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐢𝐟𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐨𝐦. Let her be with herself and you focus inward on your journey.

𝗕𝗘 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗙𝗨𝗟

In no case should you cause her grief. So 𝐛𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬, 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐫. Explain her of your motive, and encourage & inspire her to follow 𝕤𝕡𝕚𝕣𝕚𝕥𝕦𝕒𝕝 𝕡𝕣𝕚𝕟𝕔𝕚𝕡𝕝𝕖𝕤 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕨𝕒𝕪 𝕠𝕗 𝕝𝕚𝕧𝕚𝕟𝕘... Remember: 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 is the foundation. At no cost should you compromise your spiritual principles, especially purity (includes celibacy). Hence you must exhibit 'purity' in every relationship and karma.

🌈If you walk this way, not only will you take the 'balanced' approach, also can become an intrument for bringing your wife (and others) towards spirituality, and make their fortune too. For all this, must you 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭. Your vibrations should influence them (and not vice versa).
