We all must have struggled to find a perfect working balance between "love" and "detachment" when it comes to managing relationships. Here is a beautiful insight and wisdom on the difference between "love" and "detachment"

The following was written in response to a question we received through our Samadhan group.
Divine Soul✨
Glad to know that you have learned some wisdom through the 'Geeta' and other books. Your beautiful question is: "𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘸𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘥𝘦𝘵𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵?" and "𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘰 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴/𝘬𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘢?"
🍀One of the brightest messages of the Geeta is of निष्काम कर्मयोग (a phrase made of 3 words: निष्काम - कर्म - योग.) The Geeta wants to say that a human being's prime duty is to work, but the work (karma) should be done with a selfless motive (𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘣𝘦𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘬𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘢 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘦). And if this good motive karma is backed with योग (𝚛𝚎𝚖𝚎𝚖𝚋𝚛𝚊𝚗𝚌𝚎 𝚘𝚏 𝙶𝚘𝚍), then it becomes of the highest order. This is निष्काम कर्म-योग .
Why Not to get Attached to Karma?
𝔸𝕟𝕤𝕨𝕖𝕣:
God explains: "Highest expression of Love is 'freedom' ∴ and this spiritual freedom comes when the soul is free from the wordly bondages"
✤ 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧: The true love sets you FREE • love knows 'supporting' and not 'stopping'! • The moment we attach our mind to our 'karma' (its result) or to someone in particular, the control of our life shifts to somewhere else. Then the state of your mind would depend of the "result" of that karma, or the state of mind of the person with whom you are attached. Attachment of this nature, cuts the wings of soul and lessens the experience of FREEDOM • and thereby attachment, without a fail, results to sorrow.
☝️Think about this.
What is Detachment?
𝔸𝕟𝕤𝕨𝕖𝕣:
The sense of 'detachment' does not restrict us from loving, but gives us the fullest experience of love • In fact, it only widens your intellect/buddhi, your inner world. Detachment DOES NOT mean indifference (lack of concern) but it means to do the right thing without getting attached to the person (soul) or the situation. Only a detached person can get to the 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
🌳The message of Geeta was such. With an example, Gita says: "Just as a tortoise, amidst a threat, finds a shelter within... a human being will find shelter in Detachment"
🌴This makes detachment a VIRTUE, an innate POWER of soul. Please visit and read our article on 8 powers of Soul (visit this page and read the 𝕡𝕠𝕨𝕖𝕣#𝟠 '𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁')
This spiritual wisdom also teach us to "𝐿𝑜𝓋𝑒 𝐸𝓋𝑒𝓇𝓎𝑜𝓃𝑒 𝒜𝓈 𝒯𝒽𝑒𝓎 𝒜𝓇𝑒". Meaning: SEE THE ORIGINAL VIRTUES OF SOUL, see the TRUTH without any external/wordly glasses.
ᒪOᐯE & ᒍᑌᗪGEᗰEᑎT
You see both love and our sense of judgement plays independently. We love the soul for what it is: ᑭᑌᖇE & ᗪIᐯIᑎE... BUT, we must take the right decision at right time. This sense of judgement is independant of our love and care for that person. We should do what is RIGHT to be done for the good of the self and of others.
