♪ 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝟏 निर्बल से लड़ाई बलवान की (2) यह कहानी है दीये की और तूफ़ान की (2) 𝘌𝘕𝘎𝘓𝘐𝘚𝘏 : The mighty has challenged the weak. (2) This is the story of the lamp and the storm. (2) ♪ 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝟐 इक रात अंधियारी, थीं दिशाएं कारी-कारी मंद-मंद पवन था चल रहा अंधियारे को मिटाने, जग में ज्योत जगाने एक छोटा-सा दीया था कहीं जल रहा अपनी धुन में मगन, उसके तन में अगन उसकी लौ में लगन भगवान की यह कहानी है दीये की और तूफ़ान की... One dark night, every direction was black, And a gentle breeze was blowing. To dispel the darkness and awaken light in the world, A little lamp was burning somewhere. Absorbed in its purpose, a fire burning within it, And in its flame was devotion to God. This is the story of a lamp (Soul) and a storm (Maya)... ♪ 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝟑 कहीं दूर था तूफ़ान... कहीं दूर था तूफ़ान, दीये से था बलवान सारे जग को मसलने मचल रहा झाड़ हों या पहाड़, दे वो पल में उखाड़ सोच-सोच के ज़मीं पे था उछल रहा एक नन्हा-सा दीया, उसने हमला किया (2) अब देखो लीला विधि के विधान की यह कहानी है दीये की और तूफ़ान की... Far away, there was a storm... Far away raged a storm, far stronger than the lamp, Restless to crush the whole world. Whether trees or mountains, it could uproot them in a moment, And in its pride, it thundered across the earth. Then it attacked that tiny lamp (2) Now behold the wonder of destiny’s decree, This is the story of a lamp and the storm... ♪ 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝟒 दुनिया ने साथ छोड़ा, ममता ने मुख मोड़ा अब दीये पे यह दुख पड़ने लगा... पर हिम्मत न हार, मन में मरना विचार अत्याचार की हवा से लड़ने लगा सर उठाना या झुकाना, या भलाई में मर जाना घड़ी आई उसके भी इम्तेहान की यह कहानी है दीये की और तूफ़ान की... The world abandoned it, and even affection turned away, Now suffering began to fall upon the lamp... But without losing courage, prepared even to die, It began to fight the winds of oppression. Whether to hold its head high, bow down, Or give its life for goodness, The hour of its trial had arrived. This is the story of a lamp and a storm... ♪ 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝟓 फिर ऐसी घड़ी आई... फिर ऐसी घड़ी आई, घनघोर घटा छाई अब दीये का भी दिल लगा काँपने बड़े ज़ोर से तूफ़ान, आया भरता उड़ान उस छोटे से दीये का बल मापने तब दीया दुखियारा, वह बिचारा बेसहारा चला दाव पे लगाने, (बाज़ी प्राण की) - (4) चला दाव पे लगाने, बाज़ी प्राण की यह कहानी है दीये की और तूफ़ान की... Then such a moment came... Dark, heavy clouds covered the sky, And even the little lamp began to tremble. The storm came rushing with tremendous force, To test the strength of that tiny flame. Then the poor, helpless lamp, Prepared to stake its very life. (4) This is the story of a lamp and the storm... ♪ 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝟔 लड़ते-लड़ते वो थका, फिर भी बुझ न सका (2) उसकी ज्योत में था बल रे सच्चाई का चाहे था वो कमज़ोर, पर टूटी नहीं डोर उसने बीड़ा था उठाया रे भलाई का हुआ नहीं वो निराश, चली जब तक साँस उसे आस थी प्रभु के वरदान की यह कहानी है दीये की और तूफ़ान की... Fighting on and on, it grew weary, yet did not extinguish (2) Its flame carried the strength of truth. Though it was weak, its resolve never broke, For it had taken up the "good cause" It never lost hope while breath remained, For it trusted in the blessing of the Lord. This is the story of a lamp and a storm... ♪ 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝟕 सर पटक-पटक, पग झटक-झटक न हटा पाया दीये को अपनी आन से बार-बार वार कर, अंत में हार कर तूफ़ान भागा रे मैदान से... अत्याचार से उभर, जली ज्योत अमर रही अमर निशानी बलिदान की यह कहानी है दीये की और तूफ़ान की निर्बल से लड़ाई बलवान की यह कहानी है दीये की और तूफ़ान की... The storm raged and struck with all its might, Yet it could not shake the lamp from its resolve. After attacking again and again, it was finally defeated, And the storm fled from the battlefield... Rising above oppression, the immortal flame kept burning, An everlasting symbol of sacrifice, This is the story of a lamp and a storm.
