Where has their old love for one another disappeared? What an ill-fated hour has come upon us, A war has broken out between brothers. ♪ 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝟐 कहीं पे खून कहीं पर जवाला जाने क्या है होने वाला सब का माथा आज झुका है आजादी का जलूस रुका है 𝘌𝘕𝘎𝘓𝘐𝘚𝘏 : Blood is being shed here, flames are rising there, Who knows what calamity is yet to come? Every head hangs low in sorrow today, The procession of freedom has come to a halt. ♪ 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝟑 चारों और दगा ही दगा है, हर छुरे पर खून लगा है आज दुखी है जनता सारी रोते हैं लाखों नर नारी 𝘌𝘕𝘎𝘓𝘐𝘚𝘏 : There is betrayal and treachery on every side, Every dagger is stained with blood. The entire nation is grieving today, Millions of men and women are weeping. ♪ 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝟒 रोते हैं आँगन गलिआरे रोते आज मोहल्ले सारे रोती सलमा रोती है सीता रोते हैं कुरान और गीता 𝘌𝘕𝘎𝘓𝘐𝘚𝘏 : Courtyards and alleyways are weeping, Entire neighbourhoods mourn today. Salma weeps, and Sita weeps beside her, Even the Quran and the Gita seem to weep. ♪ 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝟓 आज हिमालय चिल्लाता है कहाँ पुराना वो नाता है 𝘌𝘕𝘎𝘓𝘐𝘚𝘏 : Today, even the Himalayas cry out in anguish: “Where has that old bond of brotherhood gone?” ♪ 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝟔 𝘏𝘐𝘕𝘋𝘐 : डस लिया सारे देश को जहरी नागों ने, घर को लगा दी आग घर के चिरागों ने आज तो बहनों पर भी हमला होता है, दूर किसी कोने में मजहब रोता है 𝘌𝘕𝘎𝘓𝘐𝘚𝘏 : Venomous serpents have bitten the entire nation, The very lamps of the home have set their own home ablaze. Today, even our sisters are being attacked, And somewhere in a distant corner, faith itself weeps. ♪ 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝟕 करते हैं जो आज लड़ाई सब के सब हैं अपने ही भाई सब के सब हैं यहाँ अपराधी हाय मोहब्बत सबने भुला दी 𝘌𝘕𝘎𝘓𝘐𝘚𝘏 : Those who are fighting one another today Are all our very own brothers. Everyone here shares the guilt, Alas, everyone has forgotten love. ♪ 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝟖 आज बही जो खून की धारा दोषी उसका समाज है सारा 𝘌𝘕𝘎𝘓𝘐𝘚𝘏 : For the river of blood that has flowed today, The whole of society must bear the blame.
