The Play of Maya

The Play of Maya

Maya is "the great illusion" in which we all forget our truth (that we are the infinite, the ๐œ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ๐จ๐ซ itself). It paints countless forms upon the screen of ๐šŒ๐š˜๐š—๐šœ๐šŒ๐š’๐š˜๐šž๐šœ๐š—๐šŽ๐šœ๐šœ, while the silent Witness (the soul) remains forever untouched.

The play of Maya is a shimmering theatre where forms arise and fade like "waves" upon one ocean, and what seems separate borrows its life from ๐š ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฅ๐ž ๐ฌ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐œ๐ž (light), that is god. It is a luminous dream formed by ๐๐ž๐ฌ๐ข๐ซ๐ž & ๐ฆ๐ž๐ฆ๐จ๐ซ๐ฒ, that the "ego" arising in the mind is convinced that every JOY and SORROW are real and final; while the truth is they are mere illusions.

Freedom begins when we perform our duties with love, yet "release" the need to control the outcomes. When the Self is known, illusion loses its power, just as darkness disappears before the rising sun.
